Jack Triton Emerald ChristensonEmerald Christenson always thought that she had the perfect life and the perfect boyfriend. She had lots of friends and maintained good grades. That all changed the day of the shooting. Emerald was in class when the first shots were fired. Everyone immediately began freaking out.
When the lockdown ended, everyone was anxious with any news of who had been shot and who had done it. When news reached Emerald that her boyfriend, Chase Adams, had been shot and killed, she refused to believe it. She refused to cry, to mourn, or even really acknowledge that he was dead, it hurt to much. Her world crashed down and there wasn't anything that she could do to stop it.
Enter Jack Triton, Haven University's football coach. On the day of the shooting, he lost one of his best players on the team, Chase Adams. It was hard on him and the team afterwards to be focused on the team when such a valuable player and friend was gone.
One day, while Emerald was sitting in the stands at the football stadium by herself and she finally breaks down. All the emotions she has surpressed for the last few months finally surface. That's where Jack finds her. He stays with her, soothing her until all her tears are gone. They begin to talk afterwards and form a friendship. What happens when they start to develop feelings for the other? Is Emerald ready to move on after losing someone so recently? Will Jack allow himself to get involved with Emerald? Better yet, what will happen? Only time will tell.
